1. WE don't need "talking points".. All we have to do is tell the truth.
It's much easier, and it's popular.

5. Just looking for quick ammo against GOP policies
...my brother has some conservative clients that throw out their typical blanket statements regarding dems and their policies. What I am looking for are some quick retorts that are fact based that he can throw right back. Not so much just McCain, but anti GOP/conservative. My brother doesn't have time for a nuanced debate and needs some good quick ammo for when someone says "Yeah well thanks to the liberals, blah blah blah..." or "well, if Ted Kennedy's health care bill passes. yadda yadda yadda..."

6. Here's a pretty good one-stop shopping place for McCain's policies from Think Progress
http://thinkprogress.org/wonkroom/resource/

It goes back a few months so some of his positions may have changes since then!

9. So that's it?
I really just wanted a website or a list of quick anti GOP policy retorts for my brother to throw at some of his conservative clients. Not anti McCain stuff, because that is simple. I'm looking for quick answers to those typical conservative blanket statements thrown around about democrats and their liberal policies.

Edited on Tue Jun-17-08 07:36 PM by Ned_Devine
I'm being serious. I get your point, but I don't think you get mine...and if you do, you're trying to outfox me or something. All I want are some snappy retorts to dipshit blanket statements made by conservatives. that's all, man. Can you just help?

12. Yes.
Throw the constitution at them.

If there is one thing that confounds the GOPhers it's the rule of law.

If you really want to win an argument with a GOPhers, never answer their questions; demand that they answer yours.

Start with the constitution, and when they change the subject, which you know they will, always turn it back around to the constitution.

We are a nation of laws.

The constitution is our founding document.

They will never win an argument against that most liberal of documents created by every progressive generation of this country's history.

The very basis for and every amendment to the constitution is a progressive idea.

Remind them of it.
