Well I love apples, oranges, potatoes, and (some) onions.
And garlic! I love the stuff that hangs around for awhile, but lasts. Works for me!

Jicama, carrots, radishes (if you cut the greens off - eww those are some of the fastest to go slimy)
Quince, almost all citrus really, chilis and tomatillos keep a while too.

9. Turnips and rutabagas
Pretty much any root crop for that matter.

Also, you can dry most root crops and store them for up to a year.

I used to make dehydrated vegetable soups for my daughter. All she had to do was add water and simmer. I may start doing that again.

14. I love olives.
:hi: But tomatoes don't last too long, and I wouldn't know about sprouts. But they're easy to grow.

13. Dammmit Y'all are making me hungry!!!
I love Spanish chorrizo!
It's basically a pepperoni, an you dont want to see it made.
i love green olives, my wife prefers black :)
We're growing an olive tree... god i hope it survives, i have a black thumb!
So far, however, it and a smaaaal patch of strawberries are all that are surviving my black thumb and the strange weather :)
Im thinking of growing some cannabis as here in holland a person is allowed 5 seeds/plants each (so 10 total :) ) and press oil from the seeds and take the leaves to someone to make cloth out of.
if all I can grow are weeds, than dammit I want USEFUL weeds!!!!! :)
Might try to grow another tree (fruit?) if i can keep this olive tree alive a year!
We are also trying to get a boysenberry vine to grow.... how the hell can I kill a VINE!? HOW? am I just THAT much suckage?!
