5. I personally have had no representation for several years
since I was redistricted into vile repuke rubber stamp Elton Gallegly's feifdom. However, given how the Dems cravenly give in to the repukes at every turn, I'm thinking that with rare exceptions, having a Dem "representative" wouldn't be that much of an improvement.

Few politicians pay any attention to their so-called constituents. It's all about the money and those in a position to give it.

7. EEEEEeeeeuuuuuuwwwwww. My sympathies, LDA.
Mine is Henry Waxman, which on the surface is pretty great, but he doesn't seem inclined to put any teeth into what he's doing - lots of subpoenas issued - no enforced compliance. Sigh...

But they're all REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAALLLY good at issuing those "strongly-worded statements" of "concern".

best I could say about him is that at least he has a "D" after his name. Gallegly is just a waste of DNA, yet the idiots out here keep returning him to Congress every time with margins of around 65-35. People reflexively vote "R" for no good reason. The average knuckledragger in Ventura County is just completely clueless. Just like OC but not as well publicized.

Waxman is a lot of bark with no real bite. I was pissed when he chose to waste his time on baseball players and steroid use. Think of all the bigger fish that could be fried.

I fear that if we win in November the r's will go after Obama with fangs barred from day 1. They are a bunch of shitheads, but well practiced in the art of political intimidation and getting what they want.
