Perfect storm seems to be gathering in late summer or early fall

we've been attacking Iran for so long now that I don't give much credence to the idea anymore. I am a fool.

Here is what we need, listed in general order of occurrence, before we can go to war with confidence and moral self-satisfaction:

1) An increase in political tensions. As it is now, Ayatollah Khamenei is pulling the reins in on Ahmadinejad.

2) A series of minor military skirmishes with one to five deaths on either or both sides.

3) One or more significant military setbacks for Israel from any source.

4) A bona-fide casus belli, ideally an atrocity committed against innocent Americans or our surrogates.

An overlay of economic crisis always helps.

Of course, if you're anti-war, or just have a rudimentary sense of morality that isn't limited to sex, this is BAD ... but that's never really troubled Team Bush, has it?
