Here we have a complete MORON in Congress Bought and Paid For by the Bushies and Corporate America.... Read and I hope listen to this idiot refer to gasoline powered air conditioners? Ginny can be defeated this fall if we get behind John Russell NOW. Barack Obama's campaign has decided that West Central Florida is key to WINNING Florida in November. Dominating much of West Central Florida is Congressional District 5 which will be contested by John Russell this Fall. While John has no credible opponent in his August primary and is concentrating on getting his fund raising up to speed after making what was a necessarily late decision to file... Ginny has what will be a somewhat feisty libertarian opponent with whom to contend. Ginny will have to spend $ that will be increasingly difficult to replace while John will be working hand in glove with the Obama team which just today opened an office in Dade City where John is a resident.
Listen to this idiot Bushinista Brown-Waite, and let's help John and in so doing help Barack in the Fall.

TRANSCRIPT:
Hi there. This is Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite, and I have the great honor to represent Florida’s 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Watching gas prices rise from $2.32 a gallon in January 2007 to $4.08 this week, I am firmly convinced that Americans today face a new hostage crisis. Instead of a 1970s style OPEC embargo, however, American families and the United States economy are being held hostage by a Democrat Congress that refuses to explore for more oil and natural gas. Sadly out of step with the wishes of the American public, the Majority does not get it; two new polls this week show that a clear majority of the American people wants to explore for oil, but Democrats have so far said nothing but “No, No, No.”
I am just as frustrated as you are about the rapid increase in gas prices the country is experiencing. Whether it is $4 gas, or cereal boxes that are shrinking in size because of the dramatic increase in grain prices, we all face financial challenges because of increased energy costs.
My Republican colleagues and I have not stood idle, though. We understand the pain working-class families are feeling, and we are committed to delivering the energy policies that they want and deserve. To achieve energy independence and lower prices at the pump, we have embraced an all-of-the-above energy policy. Republicans will continue to fight to allow more American energy production, especially in the Arctic coastal plain and the deep-ocean and Western states.
So what next? If energy costs continue to increase at the same rate they have since Democrats took control of Congress, what is going to happen in Florida later this summer when temperatures are often in the triple digits? Senior citizens living on fixed incomes won’t be able to afford their air conditioning bills, putting their lives at risk from heat stroke and dehydration. To these people, whether or not we expand domestic energy supplies could very well mean a life-or-death decision.
It is about time for this Congress to wake up and face the fact that “No” is not an energy policy. The Democrats who control Congress must stop holding American families hostage to $4 plus per gallon cost and start to expand American-made energy production and drill for new oil and gas reserves.
This is Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite, and I thank you for listening. :silly:
Excerpts from John Russell, Democratic candidate seeking to DEFEAT this Moron responds... (from www.thinkprogress.org)
The “congresswoman” is bereft of knowledge on most issues, among them energy in even the broadest sense. Ginny as a couple of posters have noted, completely misses the boat on the fact that the lowest hanging fruit short term in the energy dilemma we currently face is increased conservation.
On acquiring further offshore drilling rights off the coast of Florida… I am personally acquainted with people from both Louisianna and Pennsylvania where oil wells have been capped since the 1980’s with oil seeping out of the ground in these areas.
Given the considerable backlog of un-worked lease areas already on the books, these folks aided by “paid” mouthpieces like Ginny, are just trying to twist the arms of the American people until they capitulate on this sensitive issue.
In seeking to defeat Ginny this Fall...:bounce:
I am standing astride a position whereby alternative energy is accorded the priority that it deserves. Ginny clearly has not heard of nor would she comprehend the far reaching consequences of “Peak Oil.”
I DO! :applause:
The heat being what it is does anyone here think that Ginny is up to speed on Global Warming?
I am asking for your support to unseat Ginny Brown-Waite this November. Details are available at
