He looks like he is in the process of making the moves for a future presidential run either in 2012 or 2016.

How did a religious GOP nutbag like him manage to get himself elected in post-Katrina Louisiana?

He had been somewhat popular down here (before the state legislature's voting to give themselves a raise), but then, it's rare that I see any pro-GOP-anything bumper stickers. No campaign stickers or signs.

2. Yes, he is a wacko -- BUT smart enough to be

employed by McKenzie (sp?) Consulting - like my Harvard nephew and Chelsea Clinton.

Therefor smart enough to fool enough people in Louisiana (how hard is that?) to gain a foothold. Appears "diverse" despite his enthusiasm for exorcisms. Has a pretty wife and a good deal of time to fashion a more non-threatening national image with the help of Rush and Pox News. I heard one commentator say he was the "next Ronald Reagan" for the GOP.

Put a stake in him - very dangerous.
