Regret
What Atrios Said

As I've written before, Democrats will regret embracing the expansion of executive power because a President Obama will find his administration undone by an "abuse of power" scandal. All of those powers which were necessary to prevent the instant destruction of the country will instantly become impeachable offenses. If you can't imagine how such a pivot can take place then you haven't been paying attention.

1. I've been thinking the same too.
I hope Obama rolls back the executive powers Bush and Cheney have acquired for themselves for the sake of America.

7. The power of positive thinking.
He hasn't even won the election and there are already predictions about how Obama will be taken down. At least he thinks Obama will win.

10. The minute Obama becomes President, the right wing will try to take him down
If through some great misfortune the Republicans should regain a majority in Congress, you can bet that they won't put impeachment off the table. They'll concoct any crazy reason to take him down and the media will be cheering on the sidelines.

12. Yep. Look what they did to Grey Davis in California right after he
was reelected to his second term. I notice they don't have the same zest for taking down the steroid ham head posing as our governor now.

19. A point from a Californian that lived under Beige Davis' administration.
He only won re-election because the morans of the California Republik Party managed to nominate the only republik in the state that could lose to that idiot.

Bill Simon (Simple to his associates), a rich kid that inherited everything he had from daddy, even depended on him for employment, and was facing indictment for his other dealings. Beige Davis single-handedly bankrupt the state because he did not have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to Evergreen & Enron and call their bluff.

Had the republiks nominated Moose, the little dog from the Frasier show, it would have been Governor Moose.

15. If there is an honest election
there won't be a lot of Repubs around afterward, and the ones that are will be trying to stay out of jail.

That is why i worry that the shit is going to hit the fan in October.

17. After what BushCo & REPUBLICANS, Inc. have done....
If any of those piss ants start screeching about anything, then they should be taken out back and have the shit beat out of them, investigated and intimidated, bullied, have an 'accident,' or mysteriously drop off from some unknown subject. Enough of their hypocritical bullshit games are enough, and they can all go straight to Hell. They are nothing but a bunch of damn criminal enablers/operatives for those who see nothing wrong with committing treason, so deal with them as such.

If Democrats want to raise an issue, then so be it, but the REPUBLICANS destroyed their own credibility long ago, and the republicans need to sit down and shut the fuck up.

18. I have thought that for a while now,
especially had Hillary been nominated. As soon as Obama gets sworn in the Reich will be watching his every move waiting for their chance, and more likely than not it will be for something that Bu$hCo has been doing all along.
