White House Refuses Another Subpoena
President Bush has asserted executive privilege over thousands of pages of documents that would show whether the President and his staff complied with the Clean Air Act in overruling EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson on important environmental decisions. READ MORE

Twenty-seven NONCOMPLIANCE W/CONGRESSIONAL SUBPOENAS
The President has repeatedly caused his current and
former agents and subordinates to refuse to comply
with Congressional subpoenas.

Thirty-two DECEPTION (GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE)
The President has manipulated scientific information
and otherwise deceived the public and Congress with
regard to the grave danger to citizens’ health and
security posed by global climate change.

Thirty-five ENDANGERING HEALTH OF 9/11 RESPONDERS
The President recklessly endangered the health of 9/11
responders by causing and allowing the Environmental
Protection Agency to issue false, unsubstantiated and
misleading information about the air quality in the area
after the attacks.

Thirty-one FAILURE TO PREPARE FOR AND RESPOND TO HURRICANE KATRINA
The President failed to prepare for the predicted
Hurricane Katrina disaster, to respond to the dire need
there of which he was informed, and has now failed to
rebuild the destroyed area.

2. "Impeach"
Impeachment is "off the table"!

Well then, White House seems to think it will keep giving the middle finger to your subpoenas!

3. Who does this "man" work for and whose house does he live in?
Did I miss something? Did somebody make him king and I slept thru it?

Dear God, I can't wait until January.

5. Environmental regulations are now subject to executive privilege?
Remember, this is the same Republican party that wanted to be sure that the Socks the cat fan mail wasn't be answered on the public nickel. Issued subpoenas, held hearings and the whole nine yards. But our edition of Democrats can't even check on getting us clean water and air.

Swell.

6. Congressional subpoenas are absolutely worthless.
Unless they're willing to enforce them. Miers and Bolton set the precedent that ignoring a congressional subpoena incurs no penalty.

So Congress has effectively forfeited their power to subpoena. Why would they do this?
