1. EDIT -- oh wait
Edited on Sun Jun-22-08 02:20 PM by gateley
I just actually looked at your link. Is this saying that there are 92 Senators MORE powerful than Dole? Am I reading that right?

7. My senators are unfortunately
Dole and Burr as well. :( How did Burr become more powerful than Dole? Is it because he can at least find NC on a map, while she has no idea where it is? 93 and 69 are indeed way too high a ranking for that pair.

Actually, I was sooo star-struck that my camera was in video mode when I handed it to him. So there's a 5 second clip of hedges saying "I pressed the button!" Grabbing stills from that blows. I told him that I am a political junkie and that he is my "Elvis". :D

<-- and there's the lovely "d" :)

This is interesting - - I've never seen this before. Specter at 25 and Bullet Bob Casey at 91 for me - - no surprise on the latter, as he's never going anywhere in the party due to his anti-choice stance, and was mostly just a handy tool to rid the Senate of Rick Sanitarium.

In reading the description of the methodology, looks like seniority plays a huge role, as you'd expect. I wish they'd released the exact statistical formula. Love Liddy's ranking (totally appropriate - - her only accomplishment is helping the Dems to elect more senators in 2006; thanks, witch!) and Larry Craig's standing just ahead of Doc Johnny Barrasso.

He's a lot less powerful than he thinks he is. :) Murkowski is 96, so she barely counts. Don Young is 150th in the House, a lot more powerful than he ought to be.
