CNN: McCain says band-aids the result of hitting car roof

CNN) – John McCain hit the campaign trail Monday with two band-aids on the top of his head, leading a reporter to ask the Arizona senator why he was wearing them.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee, who has battled skin cancer in the past, said the band-aids were merely a result of hitting his head on the roof of a car.

“I was getting out of the car in Canada and I hit the roof a tiny bit, and the car was much smaller than the one I'm usually being ferried around in by the beloved Secret Service."

"It was a brush with a low hanging door," McCain also said.

What car has sharp edges or exposed metal ANYWHERE inside?
Are you kidding me...everything is padded up the butt..they made sure of that years ago so there would be no lawsuits over head injuries.
As far as the doors, they are all padded and lined with soft rubber door seals and weatherstripping.
Something is fishy, time to do some investigating reporting.

His skin has apparently gotten so thin that it doesn't take much to cut it. I know I've bumped into things and the most I'll get is a bruise, not a cut requiring a band aid.

He has some health issues he isn't telling us about.

Someone had a picture of him getting out of his SS car comparing it to Obama's

What exactly is a "low-hanging door" on a car? Was he riding in a gullwing like an old Mercedes or a Delorean? If he actually meant to say a car roof, don't they have headliners made of cloth that can't cause a hard bump? I don't think his explanation makes sense, but then that's par for the course for McCain.

It was fun taking my kids to school the next day and everyone looking at me as if I were a battered wife.

I was grateful for the few who actually asked "What happened?" instead of averting their eyes.
