Hi DU. Nice to see you. I've missed you. What's happening...
I have been checking DU only sporadically as of late because of work and our new grandson and my spouse's open heart surgery scheduled 7/1/08. We have had lots of Life going on lately. I can hardly keep up with our life much less all the other life happening all around us.

So, did Hillary endorse Obama? Is that really old news now? I missed that. Bummer. Last I was keeping up, Obama was the front runner for the DEMS but Hillary was "negotiating" with the votes she had accumulated. Then she was going to have some event on a Saturday but not withdraw exactly? I'm not sure what happened with that. Did she withdraw? Any big news in the last two to three weeks? I mostly check the greatest page whenever I can; still, sometimes I miss things.

I used to be more active here but that was awhile back. I don't see that many DUers from back in 2004 but I'm sure some of them are still here. I regret that I don't have more time and/or energy to contribute and participate because I love DU. I am glad it is still here, even with all the changes.

Well, DU, if you are so inclined please offer up prayers for my spouse to whatever Higher Power you believe in if you have one. Or, you know, send good vibes and/or hold a positive vision for my other half. I would really appreciate that. I know you are kind and big hearted people as I have seen these traits before here.

I prefer not to give great detail regarding this event, and actually don't have time as we are leaving early Wed 6/25/08 to travel over 1000 miles to the medical facility. I hope you will understand. I am not sure how often I will be able to check in after 7/1/08 but I will do so whenever I can.

Peace be with you all.

TexPatriot

4. Best wishes and safe travels

My thoughts are with you and your spouse.

Hillary expresses support for Obama, has not officially withdrawn as she has outstanding debt.
The two seem to be working well together for success in November, though there are still divisions among factions of supporters in both camps.

Safe travel over the next few days, and my regards and best wishes for recovery/improvement to your spouse.

17. Thanks for your good wishes. It is interesting when you know
people online eh. I must have a masculine personality...at least in text. Or maybe, my efforts to be rather gender neutral have worked after all? Actually, it's Mr. TexPatriot. It's no big deal but I just thought it was funny that in the world of Internet we get an impression of those around us and then, from time to time, they differ from how we perceive them. Can you relate? Do you know what I mean? Regardless of gender, I appreciate your sending strength to my spouse at this time. We do need it. Blessings to you and yours. TP:hi:
