...let's pack it up and go home. What? What's that you say, Shitstain Shoots-Guy-In-Face? So?

I give you six months after you get kicked to the curb before an FBI SWAT team kicks in your door and drags you to prison to await your trial.

1. There was never any doubt our troops could kick butt

But kicking butt was only part of the deal. The 'Surge' was to give time to the Iraqi Government to set up a working police and defense force, and then take over for the American troops.

So far, I have not seen much progress from the Iraqi Government. Until the people of Iraq are responsible for their own destiny, the 'Surge' hasn't worked.

They made a pact with the bad guys, the guys that kill us---- and that softened the violence.

of the violence is a long way to being done now ("mission accomplished" anyone?).

Besides you can't get a fresh drill bit in Baghdad anymore, so the murder-by-powerdrill had to ease off.
