"deep recession", interesting language in news article
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080625/ap_on_bi_ge/fed_interest_rates_33
The Federal Reserve has decided to leave a key interest rate unchanged, bringing an end to a string of consecutive rate cuts aimed at keeping the country out of a deep recession.

The central bank announced Wednesday that it was keeping the federal funds rate, the interest rate that banks charge each other, at 2 percent, marking the first time in 10 months that the Fed has failed to reduce interest rates at one of its regular meetings.

The Fed is confronted with the twin perils of a possible recession and rising inflation pressures, stemming from this year's surge in oil and food prices.

1. It's called a "depression."
Dressing up your pet monkey as Marilyn Monroe doesn't make the monkey Marilyn Monroe. He's still a monkey, no matter how you try to disguise him.

2. They are scared to death of Stagflation taking hold on the GOP's watch.
Capital can weather recession. A recession will cause Labor to yield up it all of its gains since Emancipation.

3. Yesterday the GOP predicted Obama would cause a recession. The Bush
WH will get the blame for this recession. And just imagine how much worse it would have been had the "owernership society" completely taken hold. Think how many more people would be loosing their homes right now.

4. Deep recession?
Look around , for many people it is already a deep depression , they are already screwed. It is only the people who still have a job and a roof this will affect now.

People in this country are stupid , if not then we would never have allowed things to get this bad in the first place.

And people still believe that their government will save them. This is the mistake we always make.

It should have been evident that Pelsoi was going to help us fail when she said impeachment was off the table , what does this tell people, anything? How big of a clue do people need?

Instead people wanted to celebrate history , this was really important wasn't it.

And they are going to do it again , celebrate history which means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
