What does "talking white" mean?

What does "talking white" mean?
I'm just curious about this. Nader was at one point in his life a smart and decent human being, so perhaps he still has some wisdom left in his egotistical, arrogant, self-righteous soul. I don't know what that statement means, exactly. Now I am white, so am I expected to "talk white" at all times? Is there such a thing as "talking (insert any ethnic group here)"? If so, and I talk, say, "black," would I be guilty of plagiarism? Perhaps some Nader fans can help me out. :shrug:

5. I betcha Nader has used the word "ebonics" more than once.
My sister in law's uncle is a flaming racist - he ruins about every gathering I've ever been to with him there - like birthdays and graduations of my brother's kids -- this guy loves to get drunk and make fun of "how them darkies can't say the word 'ask'" and "maybe they'd get better grades if schools taught ebonics rather than english". A real frikin turd.

Anyone who spews "talking white" is not only an idiot but probably as much a flaming racist as "Uncle Eugene". Bleeeech.

Ever notice how he never has anything to say unless it's an election year?

If Al Gore behaved the way he did, no one outside a few scientists would know what global warming is.

Nader is a joke, but is not quite ready to accept it.

nothing to do with "ebonics". he means obama's not talking like malcolm X, or even mlk - he's talking like a country club democrat. saying nothing that would sound threatening to the voters or the power structure.

i read through a couple of these threads, & then read what nader said in context.

i was honestly shocked at the obvious falsehoods being tossed around here, the people going on about ebonics & pretending the comment indicated some deep racism. really dishonest.
