Russert and Carlin in the same sentence. That stings.

Until a couple days ago, I almost forgot Imus was still poluting the airwaves with his crap and for good reasons. A year ago he was riding herd on M$NBC into millions of homes every morning and on dozens of radio stations reaching millions more. Today he's on a telelvision network that you can barely find anywhere. He went from the top rated radio station in New York to an also-ran and has performed under "expectations"...both in ratings and being able to line up affiliates. The I-Man had been relegated to irrelevance...until this manufactured bullshit.

Citadel...Imus' new boss must be feeling they're not getting their money's worth...they pretty much grabbed Imus at his price and are still waiting for those big returns. There's an old saying that "say good, say bad, just say"...and this is especially the case with an Imus. When he gets this kind of attention his ratings will spike...people will tune in to find out what "outrageous" thing he'll say next and thus this "outrage" was manufactured to try to get him that spike. Nothing more, nothing less.
