What a FUN night!!!
Robinlynne is a great person, as are so many
of the DUers I have met in person.

Bugliosi was GREAT! The crowd loved him.
He basically laid out his air tight prosecution
of George W. Bush for murder, and I must say,
I don't think anyone left there last night doubting
his grounds for prosecution.

There was MUCH cheering and standing ovation
during certain moments. Especially for the mention
of the legal sentencing- life long imprisonment or the death penalty.
That one got the place on its feet for several minutes.

He also told us why he had written the book-
He said quite simply he was ANGRY.
Angry at how the shrub kept talking about
how "good his life was" while thousands of
soldiers and Iraqi civilians were dying because Bush had lied them
into the war...

The good news is, his publicist got C-Span to come and film,
so the talk should be airing on C-Span soon.

Run, don't walk, to buy the book.
Trust me. It is an EXCELLENT read.
I started it last night and can't put it down.

3. It was a great evening... a much needed one.
He actually gave me some hope...
The guy has a mind like a steel trap.
The one thing he said that really stuck me was
that it was his intention to plant in the shrub's brain,
that someday, someone, somewhere, may actually
pursue this... and that he will offer his
talents to help any prosecutor who has the courage to
do so.

Helluva an offer considering his record as a prosecutor.

Let's hope someone DOES have the balls to go after
Bush with Bugliosi's case.
It aint over yet...

4. That's what is so great about it... he has NO doubts about the legal basis-

or that were his evidence presented to a jury,
they would have no choice but to find him guilty..
Now coming from Bugliosi- that's saying a lot.
The man has a rather huge reputation to endanger
by folly.
He's not worried about his reputation in the least.
He is certain that if anyone used his evidence in a court of law, Bush would be
found guilty as charged.
After hearing him last night, I would agree.

6. I ordered his book and cannot wait to get it.
Heard him on the Bill Press show earlier this week and although he was preaching to the choir he made a great case.

8. If held to the law, like any other citizen, Bush is GUILTY as charged.
And that was one of Bugliosi's points last night.
You CAN'T have two sets of law in this country.

7. How great that you saw Bugliosi in person. I watched him on Democracy Now
and he does seem to present a solid case. I'm glad that C-SPAN will air his talk. On Democracy Now, he talked quite a bit about the media blackout surrounding the release of this book. He was taken aback at how the mainsteam media is completely ignoring him, when, in the past, he has had quite a bit of coverage.

9. It was a thrill, I'll admit! Be sure to catch the C-Span airing!
It should be required viewing for every person in the US.

There are NO holes in his case.
NONE.
As we would expect of someone of his reputation.

While thrilling to listen to him construct WHY his case is
air tight, I must admit that I think one of the best
moments of the evening for me was talking with his
wife.
What a lovely person she is... I hope I see her again
somewhere down the road. she asked for my number, so I am
hoping she will call. She was a wonderful woman.

10. Sounds great. I wish I could have been there!
I live nearby in the San Fernando Valley, but unfortunately could not get off of work. I did tell a friend that I think was able to attend. I'm glad Bugliosi got such a positive response!

11. Admittedly, he was preaching to the choir- but honestly,
Edited on Thu Jun-26-08 03:16 PM by BeHereNow
I think even if his audience had been a die hard
Bush supporting room of fans, not ONE of them
could have left there last night with any doubt
as to the LEGAL facts that Bush should be
prosecuted for MURDER.
It is all there, in black and white-
the man is GUILTY.

Wish you could have come!
Maybe you can make our next Taco and Margarita
(Burbank)
get together.
Great bunch of DUers.
We laugh A LOT!
And there is talk of an ICE SKATING get together.
You have to admit, a bunch of DUers falling on their
asses together at the ice rink would be great fun.

14. BHN is right He rocked the house! Several lawyers stood up and tried to argue him down.
Every single one of them gave in. (They were testing theories about why his prosecution might not work.) And I loved meting BHN! Wonderful energy.
Now, if we could just get the senate next.....

15. I'm reading the book now. It does give me hope to think it only takes one prosecuter
in this entire country to indict Bush for murder. Given his popularity, I don't think it would be hard
to find a jury that would convict him.

Doesn't that give you hope?

18. Hope, exactly- the other night was the first time I've felt it in a VERY long time.
If nothing else, I think military families who read the book
will begin to pressure their state AGs and prosecutors.
It COULD happen.

17. Yeah, that is the beauty of the book. Even a "moran" could understand it.
Wish more of them would read it...
But then, reading is a challenge to many
"morans' in this country.

24. It was as high as #46 in sales on Amazon, although has dropped to #133.
I've heard that he's had trouble being booked on the lecture circuit. I'm sure if he
got as much face time on TV as Coulter does when she writes a new book, his sales would
skyrocket.
