What are the chances that a child would turn her dad in for raping her
If she knew he could be executed for it?

Just something to think about regarding this latest SCOTUS ruling.

Isn't it true that children are normally intimidated by their fathers in these situations?

And that the children normally blame themselves?

4. Yes, and adding the potential of capital punishment only adds to their torment.
Unlike murder victims, rape victims can contemplate these things.

3. I was thinking of that too.
There are so many reasons to oppose this. It's practically handing predators leverage over their victims! "You don't want to see me get the electric chair for this, do you? Let's just keep this between you and me." :scared:

5. When I was a child..
I didn't know how wrong what was done to me was. I lived in a foster home and would never in a million years have attempted to tell anyone anything. Telling is the worst thing to do. Forget about him being killed, I would be gone long before they got around to him.
