'Rapture Ready' members CONCERNED: 'We must all pray that Obama does not get elected.'
Why, you ask? Because evidently he carries some Hindu charm that was given to him:

====
I say whenever there is a leader whodoes such things yet proclaims to be a christian, it shows what interesting times we live in.
====
Well, it makes me think of Benny in "The Mummy" when he pulled out a chain with different religious icons trying to ward off the mummy. Maybe Obama pulls out the appropriate religious icon for the group he is speaking too...
====
Hanuman is the incarnation of Shiva, the Destroyer. Shiva is listed by satanist as one of the infernal names of Satan. Don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself.
====
It's not surprising that Obama carries those religious items. He is a Christian in name only, not by regeneration of the Spirit of God. Note: Judgmental little club, isn't this?
====
this to me is important because it shows that the hour is late....not too many believers with strong convictions or loyalty to Jesus around anymore.:wtf: Further, if people are being so deceived with this particular issue....it's just paving the way for the Anti-christ. I'm finally understanding just how it is that the whole world follows and marvels after the Beast. I never thought I'd live to witness this kind of apostasy in my lifetime. It's very apparent. It's very upsetting.
====
It's one thing if you want to be hindu....go ahead I guess...or buddist....but to claim you are one thing when your actions speak louder than words....hmmmm....this goes back to Bill Clinton...Note: Naturally
====
Carrying such items is an invitaion to demons.
====
No born again Christian would carry these items. What we are seeing is the blend of religions and cultures...the coming of the One World Religion. I'm sure other people are practicing such nonsense as well. I went out of town to Ashland Oregon this past weekend. It is a very dark place, a mixture of New Age and Eastern Mystical Religions. The theater is very big there, something to enjoy. However, add to the religious aspect, the philosophies and practices within the theater itself. It gave me a view of what the whole world will soon embrace without any forethougt. There will be no acceptance of the true God of the bible. But everything and everyone else is welcomed. This is our new world. And if Mr. Obama becomes our President, we can look forward to much more co-mingling.
Note: Co-mingling, co-mingling, what does that remind me of? Oh yeah, "race-mixing".
====
I am truly concerned hearing this. Probably right after his willingness to murder babies legally through abortion.
====
I just saw this post as well as the others about Obama and his carrying of the idol Hanuman and I am also very concerned about this. Carrying idols and amulets is a very common practice in many third world countries and it is not a begin (sp) practice. It is often done to give the carrier power over an adversary (sorry my spelling is really off tonight) and it is not something that should be done by a Christian. In fact, Christians in thses countries will tell you that anyone who engages in these practices are "Christians" on the surface only and are more likely animists, or in this country we would say new agers. As we all know, no/no Christian, would carry around an idol of a false god/demon in his pocket. This is very frightening. I have been in Africa and in a number of other countries in the third world and have seen these practices and their consequences very close. I am really concerned. We must all pray that he does not get elected.

5. Conservative evangelical theology is not a favorite of mine. They are welcome to it, but
they don't get to decide what everyone else should believe (or not) no matter how much they think so. Talk about an elitist group!

6. however,
it seems to me, that when the DON'T get to decide what everyone else can think, or say, or read or believe- that is when they start whining about being persecuted, and threaten to take their ball and go home.

7. HA!
These people are funny!

Carrying such items is an invitaion (sic) to demons.

Bwahahahahahahahahaha

Is it 1450 again? Did I go back in time and no one told me.

This reminds me of the woman on Wife Swap - she was quite the hit on DU here for awhile.

Better watch out for those demons!

I remember her. Everyone who didn't believe like she did was "dark sided" and going to hell. She was quite a demon herself.

10. The amazing thing is...
That this "rapture" they believe in and cling to as justification for all they do, is the result of visions by a young girl in Scotland that were cited as real and worthy religion by one minister. There is nothing but one obscure and highly-debatable verse in the Bible that can be vaguely construed as pertaining to rapture. Everything else is totally made up.

11. Not to mention it wasn't a heavily taught doctrin until the mid-1800's
It's not like it's been preached about by biblical scholars for hundreds of years.

How about having a 'fish' on the back of their car? Wouldn't that be an idol as well?

Here in God's country we don't believe in amulets or religious objects. You know?

It sounds like the Rapture Ready are trying to ward off the arrival of the antichrist.

That doesn't sound very rapture ready to me.
