Finally, some truth in advertising... a photo from a gas station near me...
This is *not* photoshopped. I took the picture today with my cell phone. I'm going to try to get back by there again with my digital camera to see if it will come out clearer....





If you can't make it out, for Supreme it says "Arm" and for Diesel it says "Leg"... the station owners apparently have a good sense of humor.. There was a story and picture of this in the local paper earlier this week.. This is the Clearwater Market & Deli on Hwy 305 in Athens, Tennessee...

4. I had to go to the landfill.. and the U.G.O. ...
UGO is a great place to stretch a buck on groceries.. I get over there about once a week... I'm in Ten Mile, just minutes from the lake...

8. Cool! My family moved to Meigs County, from Miami, Fl, when I was 13..
I graduated in 1981 and moved back to Miami a week later... I just came back here in 2002... I don't have any plans on leaving again....

6. I had to turn around and do a double take on it myself... I couldn't help but bust out laughing
... Then my nephew told me it was in the paper earlier this week... I looked through the stack when I got home and there it was, front page, on Monday's Daily Post Athenian...

He retired from the papermill there (stinky place it is. :) )

24. Sorry to be confusing.
I meant he lived in Sweetwater and worked at Bowaters - it's just about 30 minutes away.

(And I haven't been to either, other than passing through, since I was a child, so I've forgotten my way around!)

25. Ah, ok... I kind of figured that's what you meant, but I don't know Sweetwater very well either...
I know there's a lot of old factories and stuff that aren't running anymore, but don't know what they were in their heyday....
