6. I think Contessa is a lot brighter than she plays on TV -
the occasional comment that slips out; the often arch expression that appears and then vanishes from her face; even the tone when she delivers some of those airhead remarks. Plus, her wide-eyed innocent routine sucks in some of her interviewees and they give her answers they wouldn't give to a more "probing and intellectual" reporter.

I'm not saying she's brilliant, but I'm not writing her off.
