I just wanted to say, to anyone considering getting AAR Premium, that I'm very happy with my AAR Premium account. For anyone who listens to AAR at all, I think it's worth it, at only $7 per month. the things i like about it are:
1) no commercials!
2) i can listen to any show anytime. they usually have the archive of a show up, just a few hours after it aired. when I see something mentioned on DU about an AAR interview I "missed," I can go back and listen anytime. There's no such thing as missing a show.
3) not only anytime, but also any*where*. If I'm going for a long trip in a car, I'll put a bunch of AAR mp3's on to a CD and plop it into my car stereo. I also often use my TiVo to listen to the show through my TV.
4) Since I'm not listening live, I can pause it when I have to run to the can, and even rewind if I want to hear something again.
Also one thing I noticed, on the FAQ page it talks all about POD casting and "how to listen to a podcast." if you're like me and you don't have an iPod and you're worried about it, don't. If you have AAR Premium, you can simply download mp3 files of any show to your hard drive and do anything you want with them.
if you want to support AAR, getting a premium account is a good way to do it. not only do you send them some money, but you get something in return. win-win.
In case you're wondering I'm not an employee of AAR nor do I benefit from getting memberships or anything like that.
