You ain't seen nothing yet!

Make no mistake about it, we are about to see the real reason why the powers that be ran Dimson in the first place. All the outrages you have seen up to now were only dress rehearsal. The coming times will explain why the corrupt band of thugs that pull the strings propped up the puppet pResident in the first place.

Bush has aptly shown that any idiot can run a country into the ground. Any idiot with a strong family name recognition and a powerful machine behind it can get (s)elected to office, whip the marginally informed public into patriotic frenzy when under an unimaginable attack, suspend God-given (and Constitutional!) liberties in the name of National Security, and nakedly loot the Treasury while raping all but the top 10% of the tax paying public as he spouts fiscal conservancy.

However, for his next act, Bush** will demonstrate why he is just not any idiot. He will show why Cheney, acting as front man for those unnamed evil bastards, truly hired him.

Stand back and witness a man who will skirt no depths to stoop as low as any man in our nation's often checkered past. Watch Georgie do what he has been groomed for since Karl and Dickie first approached him about running for office.

Stop guessing about whether or when Bush** will pardon Libby. He will. Will he pardon Cheney if it comes it? In the clump of one of Cheney's mechanical heartbeats you know he will.

Stop wondering when the few actually honorable Republican Senators will make the walk to White House and tell W it's time to pack his bags and look at an early retirement. Ain't going to happen.

These are the times when the C-student will shine for his masters. Bush was hired as a man with no sense of moral justice; no worries about his place in history. Simply put, Bush will do what he is told and he will sell America by the pound, the ton or the ounce. However he can protect the public face of those responsible for what is perhaps the greatest plunder of all times, Bush will stand against honor and integrity and his own legacy to maximize profits for his bosses. He will do this all the while using executive power to protect his fellow criminals against criminal prosecution for their crimes against the State.

I've wondered all along why Bush was chosen for a role that anyone with name recognition could do. He has seemed so very remarkably inept. Now it all comes home to roost. It was inevitable the house of cards would fall and you can't trust just any greasy politician to do just the wrong thing at the wrong time to protect those responsible. You can, however, trust the ever sociopathic George W. Bush to do what needs to be done. And, rest assured, he will make sure the mining of the Country's coffers continues until the day he walks, is dragged, or carried from the Oval office.

1. With the except of the rethugs, I agree. I think some will want to save
their own skin and legacy, such as it might be. Plus, some are up for election soon.
But K&R!

5. I gotta disagree
They couldn't predict the mood of the country for 8 years. Bush has always been there as an escape valve, ready for any inevitability. Look at Nixon. No one got cooked there, as did no one in Iran-Contra. Once again the GOP will protect their own. Some low-lying fruit will be plucked for jail time, but no one of "significance" will be turning in their billions of ill-gotten gain.

6. I don't think they were counting on the world's outrage either
I think they thought the world would embrace this idiot, much like they do children. I mean, who doesn't love the simple mind of a young child? It worked for a while too. He just got (as my mother would say) too big for his britches and the world is itching to spank him more than giggle at his "follies" anymore. It's just not funny anymore.

3. You make a lot of sense.
I've met a lot of psychopaths (13 years as a Correctional psychologist, now an independent forensic shrink), and I've never met one with any interest in his legacy, in anything beyond himself.

To retool an old lawyer joke, "What's the difference between George Bush & a rat? There's some things you can't get a rat to do."

7. You make some excellent points, however,
I don't think the chimp, if threatened, is going to give up or in as easy as that. He has surrounded himself with crooks and who can forget the snide grin when he referred to 'his base' in the MM film?

Yep, he's evil, BUT I do think if push comes to pull, and the chimp gets threatened in some way (and yes I know executive powers and all), he WILL cave.

Now, the only thing I think you may have referred to in an obtuse manner is that he also has all 3 branches of our government under control as well with his lackey app'ts (SCOTUS).

I agree with another poster on another thread - Bush MUST be impeached NOW before he can and does further damage to this country....but to hope it will happen.....that's another story. As long as there are Trent Lott's running around in the halls of Congress, I agree...chances are nil. It also doesn't help that Nancy and Harry don't have 2 balls between them.

What do you think the ultimate punishement should be for lying the country into war? Outing a CIA agent....pissing on the Constitution...

And countless other crimes....

I will leave it at that...

12. How do you minimize "Treason"?
This administratin took this country to war on false pretenses...we all know that it wasn't to protect the Iraqi citizens from a dictator....(There are hundreds of dictators that are killing their citizens)....

It's about the oil and war profiteering....Every contract that has been given out has some connection to Cheney or *....

Every government organization that has been touched by this bunch has been destroyed....

They intended to break the US government and they did just what they set out to do.

The Rosenbergs didn't do as much damage as this bunch has done and they were prosecuted to the fullest.

Personally I would be happy with the whole administration going up in front of the Hague for "Crimes against Humanity".

14. Sorry, I may have misread your post.
It seemed to imply some kind of vigilante justice, which I assume none of us here would favor. Thanks for clarifying your support for the rule of law.

16. I was with you
but having walked those same shoes knew the post sounded risky and was open to other readings than intended.

Yes, I find Bush** and fellow thugs worthy of trial for treason. I hesitate to say guilty though I am certain they are. When found guilty they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the reaches of the Constitution.

Will it happen? Sadly, no. Bush will get his pardons in before he leaves, however he leaves and as is so often the case with the starchy white collared criminals he will get a slap on the wrist. History will not regard him with a shred of favor and I imagine that land that Daddy has been buying up in Paraguay (?) will be where he lives out his shamed existence.

18. You are right...
Yes...if found guilty they should be prosecuted the fullest extent of the reaches of the Constitution...

If our American Justice System fails...there is always the Hague..."Crimes against Humanity" that is what this administration embodies..and that is what the world thinks of this administration.

Either way if they get prosecuted so all of their skeletons are out for the world to see...whether by US courts or the Hague, I am okay with it.

Yea..I did push it a bit..

19. Couldn't have done it without 9/11
Prior to 9/11 Bush was on the skids and off to a bad start.

Calling the "attack," "unimaginable" is problematic. Someone imagined it. Someone did it. Wouldn't it be nice to know who?

Means and motive.
