DUers we missed the 100th anniversary of the
great Thurgood Marshall. Thurgood Marshall was born on July 2, 1908 in Baltimore Maryland. He was one of the most well-known figures in the history of civil rights in America.

Thanks to CSpan3 and the panel at the Kennedy library for the reminder. Juan Williams is on now.

1. I saw it this weekend and couldn't believe how good Williams was

He was a completely different person than the guy that was on Fox.

I was astonished.

3. He's quite the Marshall scholar
Been hosting NPR stuff on Marshall for years. Seems like be has a book in the works or out.

When I watch him be so weak on Fox it churns my stomach.

4. and he seems so empathatic about the poverty that Marshall apparently
wasn't initially aware of. That is a lot of dissonance for Williams to carry - I wonder how he reconciles it all.

GHW Bush replaced the great Thurgood Marshall with that Uncle Tom, Clarence Thomas.
