1. I find it funny that conservatives paint liberals as pro-Big Brother. I hope they shut up now.
It was Republicans along with weak-kneed enabling Democrats who let this piece of shit float to the top in the toilet they call Congress.

2. Now we know who the good guys and bad guys are.
Everyone who voted "no" is one of the bad guys.

3. Well...
I see Webb is keeping up with his rope-a-dope strategy rather well.

It's time to punish congresscritters. Hard. Like this, for instance: http://www.accountabilitynowpac.com/

9. NJ coming through.....
Lautenberg and Menendez have made some shitty votes, but I'm happy they came through with the right vote on this one.

People can make jokes about my state all they want but when the chips are down, much more often than not we'll do the right thing for the country.

11. Feinstein amongst the NAYS...

no doubt she and other war profiteering/Bush enabling Dems will now allow this bill to pass. These Dems should be viewed as traitors to the Constitution who would sacrifice our freedom for national security/government-sponsored profiteering.

12. Some egregious Democrats
Bayh (D-IN)

Feinstein (D-CA)

McCaskill (D-MO)

Webb (D-VA)

What the fuck is with these people?

I didn't list all Demos, just the ones that are most disappointing.

Feinstein, Bayh....what a waste of space they are.

Webb really really hurts.

Edited on Wed Jul-09-08 02:20 PM by Beacool
but what is Caskill's sorry ass excuse?

Isn't she the one who ended up endorsing Obama because her kids were starry eyed about him? How come she voted differently than her candidate?

13. votes
these votes are a farce, not the "nays" but the "yeas" believe me it was already decided among them who would vote yes and who would vote no. It was never intended to pass. Claira McCaskill, Jim Webb, oh please.

I will not choose to vote between candidates who both want the power
to spy on Americans without warrants.

21. Dammit! Only 1 of my 2 Democratic Senators voted on the good side of this amendment!
Of course, the other one is being treated for brain cancer at the moment, so I suppose we can cut him some slack as far as his not showing up in DC to vote today...

25. Mikulski, D-NSA == NAY on Dodd.
Her office sneered at me inaudibly when I called.

Pretended not to know her position on the issue,
and that they hadn't ever heard her address it...
