"Has Barack Obama ever had to tell anyone they had body odor?"
I caught a few minutes of Sean Hannity's radio show yesterday. From the callers' comments, I figured the topic was Obama's competence for serving as president. A woman called and she asked if Obama had ever had a job where he managed people. Sean (to his credit) said well he was a community organizer in Chicago.

So then the woman said she knew that but "Has Barack Obama ever managed a retail store?"

And Sean said "Yeah, has he ever had to tell anyone they had body odor?"

Sheesh, I knew these idiots were clueless, but this takes the cake in my book.

I am wondering if my DFA group should add these two questions to our candidate questionnaires.

I also wonder how long McCain managed a retail store, what store it was and how many of his employees improved their personal hygiene after he counseled them.

1. Apparently no one in Bush's inner circle had enough experience
to tell him that he stinks at being president.

2. I've had to do that twice in my career
It's not a good thing to have to bring up, but it really has to be done.

3. Do you think it's a must have experience for a presidential candidate?

4. Some management experience is essential.
However, I doubt that most executives have experience doing this.

5. Hahaha, no, some of our best presidents had no experience before they were elected
And some of our worst had felonies, like George.

6. I had to do a role play once for management training
Edited on Thu Jul-10-08 10:48 AM by notadmblnd
I was the one who had the BO and was being told I had to do something about it. I almost had the manager in tears as I poured out a sob story of why I smelled. I put it all back on the company for not paying me enough and as a result, I was forced to live in squalor. I had the rest of the class cracking up. It really was a classic.

10. That sounds hilarious!
It's not a nice task to handle, let me tell you, in real life though. I think I handled each case with dignity and respect, so they both went well and the problem was solved, but if someone gave me a story that their paycheck wasn't enough to buy a bar of soap and wash their pits every day, I would fire them for compassioniate reasons so they could get unemployment and smell as bad as they liked, in their own home!

12. my story wa a little more complicated than not being able to buy soap
it involved a relative with medical bills and my inability to have access to water. But you're right, it is difficult to tell someone they have an offensive odor about them.

16. I'd have loved to see the group session, though... lol
I once had to sit through hours of training for sex-discrimination stuff... OMG it was sooo boring I though I would pass out in my chair. A little incident like yours would have spiced up the day no end :P

13. I had to do it once but it had a good result
the gal had grown up in utter poverty and neglect and just did not know good hygiene habits....I had a couple female coworkers advise her and not only was the problem taken care of, she started a much better social life

9. My question is
has McSame ever had a real job that the taxpayers didn't pay for? How does getting three government checks each month qualify you for BO inspector?

18. My Aunt had a clothing boutique, and I saw her tell a lady she could NOT try on clothing
Edited on Thu Jul-10-08 03:56 PM by SoCalDem
because she had BO.. She could not sell something later that had an "aroma" to it... I was embarrassed for the lady, but my Aunt reminded me that she had paid for those dresses, and if the lady chose not to buy them, she would lose money..

After that, she provided dress shields in all the fitting rooms, and asked that people use them when they tried on clothes.. No one ever refused, as far as I know.. Some even commented that they were happy to know that smelly people had NOT tried on stuff that they might eventually buy :)
