GAY OLD PARTY

Anti-Gay Alabama A.G. Caught Being Gay

This may come as a shock, but a prominent anti-homosexual Republican attorney general has apparently been caught having homosexual sex intercourse with his homosexual gay male assistant. Bonus: The dude’s wife caught him, in their bed. This is the rumor that the AG’s office has officially denied, so now of course everybody is spilling the sordid details.

AG in question is Troy King, who, of course, is only interested in outlawing homosexuality and sex toys. His gay lover is either a college “buddy,” or a very young youngster and “Homecoming King” from Troy University. What are the odds of a dude named Troy King getting caught in bed with a Homecoming King from Troy University? This seems like a wacky sitcom plot, on a gay porn channel. (Is this what that Will & Grace was about?)

Fast Google...

"Pryor also left to become a judge, becoming one of the most controversial judicial appointees in modern times. He was criticized for his intolerant views, but also for his long track record of stridently partisan political engagement. He was replaced by Troy King, who played a very curious role in installing his former client, Congressman Bob Riley, as governor in the face of mounting evidence of election fraud in Baldwin County."
http://harpers.org/archive/2007/09/hbc-90001228

n edit, from the piece:

But as noted last week, one of Troy King’s specialties has been turning electoral law to partisan advantage.

This asshole just nailed himself, and it seems he's a biiiiiig asshole.

22. Troy King info on Don Siegleman's website
Troy King
Attorney General of Alabama and Bob Riley’s Former Lawyer/Legal Advisor

Troy King was a Republican Politician who helped indict Don
Siegelman. White house handpicked Attorney General Alice Martin
worked closely with the new attorney general Troy King. King
appeared at the press conference announcing Siegelman’s indictment
because, “the investigation was a joint federal-state project conducted
by Martin and state Attorney General Troy King's staff.”

48. A bit more on Troy King
http://www.steveflowers.us/columns/060904.htm

Most observers of the Governor's office and those who have dealt with the Governor come away feeling that Rob and Minda Riley are the powers behind the throne. The consensus is that these two Riley offspring make most of the calls and are the ones that Riley looks to for major decisions. A case in point is the recent appointment of young Troy King as Attorney General. Rob and Minda are said to be responsible for the choice of King. Veteran Republican operatives pushed for a more seasoned and elect-able choice who would be the best candidate in 2006.

http://www.lagniappemobile.com/article/1022

In July 2006, Alabama Power Company gave King, his family and some friends a day at an Atlanta Braves game in the company’s luxury box. The 14 tickets gained access to a facility that usually rents for more than $2,000 a day according to the team’s Web site.

The attorney general represents Alabama Power’s customers before the state Public Service Commission, the regulatory body that sets electric rates and King’s acceptance of the tickets could be seen as a conflict of interest.

The gift went undetected by the Ethics Commission for six months, but Alabama Power filed a report only after the Birmingham News asked about the incident.

In late November 2006, it was revealed Troy King had asked Two-Year College Chancellor Roy Johnson to find a job for the mother of one of King’s staff attorneys at the same time King’s office was probing allegations against Johnson. Johnson complied, employing the woman as a cashier at Southern Union State Community College.

http://alablawg.wordpress.com/2007/03/09/a-few-more-answers-to-castaldo-questions/

A perjury charge against a state investigator, who was acquitted, stemmed from his refusal “to do political things” for Attorney General Troy King, a defense attorney claimed.

A King spokesman denied the accusation by defense lawyer Jim Pino, who represented Anthony Castaldo in the trial that resulted in his acquittal on the misdemeanor perjury charge by a Jefferson County jury Wednesday.

In a hearing outside the presence of the jury, Pino told Circuit Judge William Cole that Castaldo was persecuted for “refusing to do political things at the request of the attorney general and administrative staff.” . . .

The attorney general special agent worked for King’s 2006 general election opponent John Tyson for three years. Castaldo said King asked him around late 2005 for information that could be used against Tyson in the campaign. Castaldo said he refused and was reassigned from his duties as a special investigator for King.

This nimrod was an effective tool in the political assassination and very real undeserved imprisonment of a member of the Democratic party in order to silence that person's testimony to the very real theft of the Georgia Gubernatorial election.

This asshole was into some very real, evil and treasonous shit. If this person was able to lead his own very normal life openly, honestly and free from undeserved oppression just as any average hetero can then maybe he would not have become a dangerous tool in a fascist government machine. Being that he is a dangerous tool, for whatever reason, being that he has involved himself in destroying the life of a Democrat who did nothing wrong, I find that any issue or happenstance that removes him from the machine is at least helpful in the larger picture of the dismantling of the Georgia fascist machine. But I regret that the manner of his removal (assuming he resigns or is politically damaged beyond repair, or does not pull a Vetter) has to be over his sexual orientation.

72. Someone already pointed it out
but it is the hypocracy of being anti-gay in public to cover up his gay activity. Also, "Family Values" is the mantra of the GOP, and here is a family values guy cheating on his wife. Lighten up, no one is attacking gay people.

66. Perhaps the Republican convention should feature a mock-
airport mensroom section for the use of the delegates - between votes, of course.

A Grand Old Party, indeed.

Please vote for Obama and democrats for congress and send these lying scum back home.

73. Eerily predictive political cartoon:

King banished sex toys in Alabama.
One political activist sent him an inflatable pig (reportedly 'anatomically correct', whatever that means).

She (Loretta Nall)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loretta_Nall
then started a 'Sex Toys for Troy' campaign.

Astute Mobile Register political cartoonist J. D. Crowe picked up on it.
His comments are here:

74. Oh yeah, Rove's nickname is 'Miss Piggy' in certain circles.
But I'm sure that's just a coincidence.
