I just sponsored a child
I just saw a commercial for joinplanusa.org and rather impulsively decided it was time to sponsor a child. I chose a little girl, age 6, in Sudan.

I don't know much about the organization but it seems legit and worthy. Just wondering if anyone knows anything I should know about the organization or what I've gotten into...?

3. Thanks
Looks like I chose a decent charity - only 20% of what I give goes to fundraising, salaries, etc.

I feel all fuzzy inside. :)

That's wonderful!
Did you use the same charity organization or a different one?

4. I found this written on a note by my computer and wondered what
it was and why I had written it. Guess I'll check it out, since I was apparently going to a couple of days ago.

I would also like to sponsor a child in the US if anyone has suggestions for a good organization.

7. Good for you. I've always meant to sponsor a child. But my income has always been unstable
so I haven't done it yet. Imagine changing the world of a family with just a few dollars a month.
