The more I hear about Iraqi President al-maliki
the more i like him, i dont know much about him, but ive seen him take several stands against president bush, and its good to see.

Blackwater protects him for christ sakes. If that job was left up to actual Iraqis he would have been dead years ago.

The majority of the Iraqi people hate him. They see him, rightfully so, as the puppet of George W Bush. Bush is attempting to help him thru a very difficult election.

4. i realize that to a certain extent he is a tool of the bush administration
but i still see him going against them once in awhile on things like timetables and, there were other things i cant remember now that i read about, and it seemed like through it all, he was attempting to do something good for his country.


that was just my perception tho, could be completely off.

5. Even Chalabi had a silly moment
when he "went native" years ago, calling for the ouster of American occupiers, Iraq for Iraqis, blah de blah. Hamfisted playacting to boost his cred before the elections (and lessen the likelihood he'd get whacked). Didn't work and didn't last long. Nothing is what it seems over there.
