New Yorker illustrations are drawn for readers of The New Yorker. If some publicity of one causes

others to see it, so what. It wasn't drawn for them, who cares if they get it or not. And oh no, it might end up in a right wing chain e-mail! If someone votes based on what they received in a chain e-mail, don't worry they are probably too stupid to find the polling station on election day.
