Obama Supporters Issue Death Threats

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2047819/posts

I'm beginning to think this so called Hilbot/PUMA thing is Repug
Psych Op Disinformation operation.

Party Unity My Ass has that FReepish taint of vulgarity about it.

Thoughts?

accusing Obama's supporters of making death threats against
Hillary supporters and PUMA malcontents (who ever they may be)
is a serious charge.

I think Rove or other RW operatives are driving this PUMA
wedge strategy. They want to incite violence.

7. I'm not sure how much space we should give those tactics...
they are meaninglesss unless they work. You are talking about it so it's working.

The avalanche of bullshit is just beginning, and they have absolutely nothing real so you get stuff like this..

Voicing concern about it gives it a kind of creedence. Fifteen people posting about it and it can become meme, and that is it's only purpose, to take up space, subvert the conversation about the real issues, corrupt the the dialogue.

It takes up space that might be better spent discussing how to get Obama elected, or how to change the focus of the MSM......

But if you want to ogle every freeper train wreck and scumbag-instigated innuendo out there, be my guest.

I'm just sayin'

10. Actually, we are on the same page politically. But it's too easy to think
Edited on Fri Jul-18-08 10:22 PM by gbrooks
of FReepers as mouth breathing trailer trash. Some of
them are well connected in RW circles

For instance, while the typical FReeper purports to be a shining example of the conservative American 'everyman' the site is controlled and financed by well healed Republican covert political operatives including;

Jeff 'Man Meat' Guckert/Gannon the heavy leather 'posing as US Marine' Gay Prostitute and Whitehouse Correspondent.

Godebert/Alan Gotlieb, convicted felon and multi-millionaire publisher of right wing hate literature.Gotlieb is also the CEO of Freedomtobeararms.com the site of choice for gun show arms merchants and other unsavories.

Harry W. MacDougald, an Atlanta lawyer with strong ties to conservative Republican causes. MacDougald is none other than FReeper Buckhead who uncovered the Dan Rather/Bush National Guard record forgeries and posted them on FR within three hours of the story breaking.

Apparently, MacDougald is not only a well connected Republican lawyer/activist he is also an expert on
Selectric Typewriter fonts from 1973 and happened to be perusing his font collection when the Rather memo was aired. What a coinsidence!!!!!!!

It is FReepers who are putting traction behind Rush's pathetic Operation Chaos campaign and giving
press to PUMA.

You may think my commenting on it is keeping these issues alive but keeping quiet about it in the hope that these groups will go away accomplishes nothing. FReepers and their assorted blog roll spammers will continue pushing disinformation.

I think these people claiming to receive death threats are RW plants claiming to be Hillary supporters. I also think it's important to keep pointing that out and showing who is behind it.

Respectfully gbrooks

He cooled his posting there (& they deleted alot of his posts) when he got the WH gig - came back to his stompin' grounds after he left.

8. I doubt it's true, but if it were....
It would be the a complete 180 from what history has taught us, the progressive liberals attacked by the conservatives, Lincoln was a liberal, JFK, MLK, etc., all killed by conservatives. Sorry if this is not politically correct, but if liberals show an ounce of hostility for once, it would almost be refreshing.

9. What does this part mean?
"Most told me I would be stupid to vote for the man who spent weeks trying to terrorize me."

Obama, in this person's twisted mind, tried to terrorize them?

12. Again, FReepers are not stupid. This is an example of a fallacious argument. FReepers are

experts at passing fallacies off as valid arguments.
This one is an example of the fallacy of equivocation.

eg

Someone threatened to kill me.
That person supports Obama
Therefore: Obama threatened to kill me.

Two things make this argument a fallacy.

1) There is no reason to supposed that
a person is a supporter of Obama just
because they say so. Especially if that
claim is made anonymously.

2) Making a threat in Obama's name does not
implicate Obama either logically or legally.

3) This is also an example of elision, where a
reference to Obama's supporters in one sentence
is replaced with a reference to Obama in the
second sentence.

18. You know....
I had a lot of respect for Larry Johnson when he was supporting Valerie Plame.

I enjoyed him when he did the "Ask the Spy Guy" segments on the Stephanie Miller show.

Now his site has become an unreadable mess of anti-Obama crap. No smear too low, no lie too outrageous. And the "Whitey" video will come out any day now, honest!!

It's very sad to see what blind hatred has done to him
