35. I heard this week that some people are having to pull out a second credit card
to finish filling up their tanks because the stations have not adjusted the max you can "pay at the pump" via cc.

Think the limit quoted to me was around $70 or $75. Anything over that amount and the pump cuts off. I'm sure at SOME point that limit seemed like "who pumps THAT much at one time?"... given today's prices, nowadays, seems like it's half the country!

And a couple of others at $3.99. NE MA here, and all those stations had long lines.

3. In Middlesex Cty? Damn! I should have driven up there instead to get mine.
Now I'm bummed out! :P I was on the fumes when I got back from my little trip, so I wouldn't
have made it to Framingham or Natick, for that matter. At least not before I PU my kid.

20. I really don't know why.
I don't believe it's fuel taxes though. Perhaps it's b/c us midwesterners are 'generally nice/accepting' and THEY want to know how much the market will bear? :tinfoilhat: ?

Don't know the 'why', but the reality is brutally painful for most people.

29. Hey, free money is free money!
There was a guy in Indiana, I think, picked up all the free pennies he found and saved them up for 14 yrs and bought a brand new pick up truck with them. They said it was the second time he'd done that! He was around 75 yrs old. Smart fella! ;)
