Preston and Clapton there were just--I dunno--virtuosoing off each other. The song is meaningful and deep (Harrison's speciality) but it needs a bleeding crying living guitar speaking the real lines, and the Preston keys make it "church"--in a good way. The inspired way. That ending jammed out on a great note--it was a hell of a tribute.
