2. The Media Circus Need To Be "Relevant"
I'm avoiding a lot of the corporate media coverage these days...one can only take so much.

So typical of the bobblehead to attempt to make a "statement"...trying to be the late Jim McKay or Walter Cronkite and "capture the moment"...and most times just showing how vapid they are.

The corporate media is already backtracking...under fear from the Mighty Wurliter that the Democrats and Senator Obama are "using them". Fools.

4. It's worse on MSNBC they're showing loop after loop of BUSH in Baghdad...
...along with there incessant "Bush was right, the surge worked, Iraq is a paradise now" blather. Obama? Who's that?

But at least when Andrew Card tried to claim that Bush's "Time Horizon" was nothing like a "timeline," the entire panel laughed out loud at him. Literally laughed at him. It was priceless.

.

6. Obama looks like a winner to me!!
Hi friends!! From my side of the border he looks magnificently presidential. I think perhaps CNN's expectations of what a president should look like have eroded over the past 7 or so years :hi:

******* We've got a long way to go until November. They've got to find something useless and/or inane to talk about.

10. My newspaper's headline was on Mullen's criticism of Obama
the part on al-Malikki wanting the Obama timeline was buried in the story with the counter that it was an incorrect translation...

14. CNN is officially in the entertainment business. I think when I saw Bernard Shaw ask
Michael Dukakis what would he do if his wife were raped and murdered that I knew corporate media had taken over in the place of journalism. I'm still waiting for a follow up question like that to a Republican.

Edited on Mon Jul-21-08 09:24 AM by checks-n-balances
Wish someone could've actually been there to say that on the air & hold a mirror up to these gasbags!

Millions are losing their jobs & homes while these people are paid millions to be Maureen Dowd copycats on the air? It's the Invasion of the Body Snatchers Part II and perfect fodder for the next Tom Tomorrow cartoon (I hope he watches CNN).
