"Someday" he told his young wife
He swept her off her feet with a promise of a grand life together.

They would see Ireland, Italy, buy a nice house in the country, have kids.

His parents were wealthy, and someday he would inherit it all.

He just needed to keep them happy to be in their will.

As each wedding anniversary passed he told his wife to just wait a little longer. Sure, they didn't make it to Paris this year, but he bought a gown from there on the internet - and they saw pictures of and watched travel videos.

That nice house I promised you, well the apartment is good enough for now right?

He lived lean and saved more and more, keeping his parents happy with his frugal ways.

He compromised each year, trying to keep everyone happy with promises to them all - but the ones he made to his wife he kept shelving as best he could, waiting on that someday when he would have it all.

He was surprised to wake up one day and she was gone, to live with another.

And all that powder he had kept dry just blew away into the wind.

When Obama wins the next fear will be the mid terms (If we don't win them, then he won't have any real power, we have to make sure we win back congress, so let's play it safe and throw gays to the wind, privacy rights, keep funding the war, and so on).

At some point you make a stand based on what is good and right, you fight the good fight - because so many millions are affected in a negative way and they are damned tired of waiting.

Playing it safe does not save lives, and we are in a war against poverty, health care, civil rights for all, and more.

Compromise isn't winning, it is just a slower way of losing in hopes that maybe you will win later.

Stand and lead, or get the hell out of the way so we can get people who will.

2. I just thought about it why I was pacing and thinking about life
and wrote it on the fly.

Wanted it to be better, just had other things on the mind so wrote it quickly.

Thank you my friend.

3. Wow
Don't think you could've written it any better.

Best to you and yours.

4. AMEN!
At some point you make a stand based on what is good and right, you fight the good fight - because so many millions are affected in a negative way and they are damned tired of waiting. This is so absolutely right on!

5. Absolutely - and it SHOULD be obvious
I want to see more of that moxie that I'm sure he had to possess to do all that he did in Chicago. The other side doesn't deserve to be given in to, and more a matter of life and death for more of us every day.

6. What about the other guy?
Was he "My way or the highway, Bitch!" or "Anything to make you happy, Snookums!"?
