7. Translation: "Obama needs to learn his place."
As for what will happen to them when he's elected. Lets just say I wouldn't stand under any tall buildings with open windows.

10. When McSame tells Obama that he must do town hall meetings

9. Who Holds Bar-B-Ques And Who Doesn't?
The village is a very provincial place. They don't like newcomers or party crashers...Obama is both. Gramps has been in the village for longer than most the villagers...he's a comfortable pair of shoes...someone most have either met or covered and cause he's a "nice guy", he gets the benefit of the doubt. Gramps made his reputation on always being accessible...some will call him a mike hog...that would gladly share a quote or help fill time on a show...so they "owed" him.

Obama on the other hand is the new kid in town. Kinda like a new kid who comes into your school...the first couple months he's ignored and has to "earn" his cred with the others. Since Obama doesn't do BBQs or always ran for the closest microphone, he's seen as "aloof". Since Obama won't drop down and play the corporate media meme games, he's also aloof, too...since it's THEY, not He who is to determine what is "newsworthy" and important. The feeling is that they made him, they can break him. I submit watch this change in a hurry if Obama wins...the big sucking sound you'll be hearing come November will be the jockeying in the village to cozy up with the new status quo.

Gramps all but showed this week how bereft and bankrupt not only his candidacy but his corrput party is. Gramps "availability" has become a major liability as any time he states a position, there are tons of tape out there that shows him flip-flopping...so he tries quickly to move onto something else. His "surge is working" tantrum is the byproduct...one of the rare cases where he's actually been "consistant"...and he's hanging on to it like a lifeline.

And what do you expect the GOOPers to say or do right now? They're on both the wrong side of issues and history and they see the walls closing in. This sure isn't like the last two elections and they have a pathetic candidate. The only thing they have is fear and hate to peddle and as they fall father behind expect the volume to get louder. These are caged animals.

Cheers...

11. The Reps are fucking crazy - they said GWB was "Godly"
before the election.
They don't say much about him at all anymore.

Besides, McCain has a lot to be humble about.

12. Better to be honestly arrogant than artificially humble.
After 8 years of Bush, I'm tired of the "folksy" image that right-wingers try to project. Bush is one of the most brazenly arrogant leaders this country has ever had (if not THE most), thinly veiled in everyday charm. I want a leader who sounds and acts like a leader, damnit.

Oh, you mean we aren't talking about old wives tales?

Actually, I think that BO does come across arrogant sometimes, but I think it is just confidence.

16. Just spin and just like 2000 and 2004
Obama, like Kerry and Gore, is intelligent and doesn't hide it. I mean come on now - Obama far McCain's junior in the Senate even keeps Sunni and Shia straight. Even though neither Gore or Kerry ever acted as arrogantly as the mean drunk son of GHWB, the right succeeded in spinning him as the down to earth one that people could have a beer with. People likely now see the truth so they will be less likely to be fooled.

The fact that they are down to this shows how much McCain has fallen - they can't argue on real merits.

24. Has there ever been a presidential candidate that wasn't arrogant?
Maybe Jimmy Carter, but that's the only example I can think of in our countries history. Of course he is arrogant, so is McCain. So are most politicians.
