I don't watch WJ every morning by any means, but it seems like every time I tune in to it, its slant is decidedly right wing.

2. Washington Journal
has jumped the shark long ago. Their interviews are abysmal and their republican stooge hosts are worse. Don't get me wrong I still love C-span, but that's a program that has become decidedly biased
over time, and a very short one at that. Certainly not in step with the rest of the world, or country for that matter.

4. It's Been Espcially Bad Lately
Edited on Fri Jul-25-08 07:07 AM by KharmaTrain
I can't remember the last time I've seen a Progressive Blogger or columnist on the show. Or even a Progressive Democrat for that matter. Also the topic matter that's chosen seems to fit into the daily GOOP talking points...for example their "discussion" on energy ended up in a "drill, drill, drill" jag session and then they spent the better part of another morning on Don't Ask, Don't Tell...surely issues that aren't at the top of the Democratic agenda.

It's no surprise to the right wing lean...it's always been that way. But usually they mask it enough to get some good calls going...as long as its a topic of mutual interest. Seems like each host get a great deal of leeway on who they bring on and that the first number they call is the AEI for one of their sockpuppets or buddies to show up.

Maybe this is a good thing...that people here are pissed about how in the bag the media has become this election year. May it be motivation for all to go out and shove it up these arrogant asses behinds by driving the GOOP into regional minority status come November.

Cheers...

On Edit: Now I have egg on my face...they actually have Dennis on this morning :bounce:

6. well first they allowed only repukes to call in ostensibly
to comment on McCain's week. Naturally, they did virtually nothing but bash Obama. Now they have some complete asshat from Human Events on. Thank god it's over and Dennis is coming up.

7. Thank God I'm not watching ...
and thank you for putting up with it for Dennis.

I wonder if it'll be Dems only for DK? Yeah, I'm sure they'll do that. And I'm not wearing any underwear.

11. I've been listening less lately.....
because the Rethuglican nitwits who call make my hair hurt. On the other hand, one has to remember that in it's effort to seem "balanced", C-Span puts an equal number of "Democrat", "Republican" and "Independant" callers on air. This in no way reflects the reality of current public opinion. As recent surveys have noted, a lot more people identify themselves as Dems as opposed to Rethug and I'm betting there are now more Indys than R's, too. The right wing whack jobs who call WJ are the 25% or so "dead enders" who will never see the light, no matter how brightly it shines. Fortunately, they will be rendered obsolete in January.
