I have a long ranted posted under this one.

Basically the Ticker yesterday was saying it was a mere 10's of thousands, where the German numbers (and NOW CNN's) are saying it was well over 200,000+ people.

the RW corporate spin machine is going insane trying to belittle Barak Obama's impact on . well.. everything and everyone with a heart and soul that is not corrupted and dark twisted and evil.

2. Rant as promised above...
I could have KILLED the assholes at CNN international while I was watching Obama's speech.
they were putting 10's of thousands, while it was V E R Y clear the number was HUNDREDS of thousands, and today the number the German authority is putting out is over 200,000 people came to see Obama speak.

The CNN camera (I watched because they had no over-talking like BBC and ARD (German) had.

And they only showed the ONE road FILLED with people, there are MORE wide roads leading to that park and they were filed as well.

I swear I wanted to kill the assholes at CNN who were doing the panning and sunning commentary (ticker) and afterwards, they had this little piss-ant on (I switched to the BBC of comments) who was downplaying the entire event. "well it was a nicely written speech, and well spoken..."
The brit interviewing him was rather put off, because they love, LOVE him here. Because their media isn't filled with all the bullshit and poison ours is.

Normally CNN International is pretty good, but they pulled out EVERY Reich winger they could find to cover this one, it was so sick, I had to change the channel after his speech!

I have never felt ... pride at being an American as I did while watching his speech. I have never felt so much hope that YES WE CAN!

Obama was VERY restrained, he did NOT make this a campaign speech, it was... I think it was an apology to the world. "We fucked up, and as an American I'm here to say... I'm sorry!"

"I am not here as a president(full stop ;))ial candidate, but as an American, as a word citizen..." - Barak Obama German Speech July 24th 2008.
"We can NOT do this alone!" - Barak Obama, German Speech 2008

It takes courage and strength to be humble, when you don't have to. It takes character not to puff up, and suck in all that adulation and speak bigger than you should. Barak Obama IS the president, he IS Presidential. And Mclame needs to just step aside... oh well. I was proud for 15 glorious minutes, and PROUD to be an American!

6. It was a brilliant speech. I hope the American people get to hear it.
Obama should send a video of it to every man, woman and child.

5. Just looking at the picture of the crowd along the 17th of June Avenue
it is evident that the rows are made up of 20-30 people each and that there are more than 200 rows. Thus, there were more than 200,000 people. I could not count the number of people per row, but there were at least 20-30 in each row. Do the math.

13. I think 200K for a total is realistic but how do you get that from 30 x 200?

8. They are afraid because they don't have control over him yet
And they don't entirely know what to make of him.

It's amusing to watch.

I didn't like seeing more than half a million of my fellow Americans reduced to "tens of thousands".

11. I popped into the Rusty Humphries show
(yeah, i like punishment) and that asshole was saying it was a spectacle that would make Leni Riefenstahl proud, compared it to the Nuremberg rally. That these idiots can stay on the air speaks ill of our general population.

14. It's the way the MSM counts the anti-war rallies we've had.
Minimalizing the numbers whenever they deign to report on them at all.

Well, that's what happens in a dictatorship.
