"Let the Eagle Soar" is a song written by former Missouri Senator and U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, who is seen singing the song in a now-infamous 2002 clip first shown on CNN. The song (sung by someone else) was heard during Bush's second inauguration in 2005. The song is used ironically in Michael Moore's film Fahrenheit 9/11 and is frequently mocked on comedy shows such as The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and Late Show with David Letterman.
