NBC's Brian Williams to Rush: ". . . congratulating you on a great run. . . Go get 'em."

All week, Butt Boil Boy is celebrating the 20 years of misery he has inflicted on the nation - and getting "thanks so much" messages from friends like Clarence Thomas, Dick Cheney and Jim Nantz (right-wing sportscaster). OK, expected. But what the hell is NBC news anchor Brian Williams doing congratulating that bag of dog shit and telling him to "Go get 'em?"

Guess that we have learned something about Brian Williams. Not that big a deal, I guess, but it sure doesn't seem appropriate. Maybe Brian will next call O'Reilly and thank him for his coverage of NBC. Anyway, FYI:

WILLIAMS: Hey, Rush, it's America's Anchor... Uh, hang on a second. Well, anyway, it's the anchor of NBC Nightly News in New York. An interested listener, let's put it that way. It's Brian Williams, congratulating you on a great run. I know you're just getting warmed up. Go get 'em.

He has admitted that he tries never to miss his shows.

About 5 years ago or so, Williams was on Imus...they were both at some NASCAR race...Williams talked about his passion for the sport and then volunteered how he was really a "good 'ole boy at heart"...and cited that he reguarlarly listened to Rushbo as his "proof". He even described himself as a "dittohead".

up in climbing the ladder at NBC and kissing whatever ass necessary to further his career that he hasn't had time left over to work on his principles. He is just a typical corporate butt kisser.

I see so many post here on DU about his latest outrage that I wonder how many of his listeners are actually people who hate him.

I'm at work, so don't have the "pleasure" of listening to him. On those rare occasions when I might be in the car at that time, I might surf over to him just to hear what hate he is preaching that day. Never can take more than 15 minutes.

No, I heard a promo about this being his 20th anniversary week for his show, so out of curiosity checked his website. There is where he talks about celebrating himself "all week," and there is where the Brian Williams quote came from. I found the phrase, "Go get 'em" extraordinarily repugnant and thought I would share it with others at DU.

William Hurt played the character. Essentially, a pretty boy news reader with no analytical skills. Brian is nothing but a pretty boy successor to former pretty-boy Tom Brokaw.

Rush Limpblobs running?!?! Oh, my aching imagination.

What is surprising is this question:


What exactly do you expect from a news reader for a major corporate media outlet?

Nobody employed by these companies is our friend. They are all in fact enemies of the people of this country, and the sooner they are recognized as such, the sooner we can begin to get our country back.

Every time I stop in here and see these threads by people recoiling in horror to the latest atrocity in the "news" world, I realize that we may never get our country back.

It is all out war.

Would have shown Brian Williams the error of his ways. But no. I'll bet that he couldn't wait to wash all of the blackness off of him. :grr:
