They skirted PD (Public Domain) by ONE word.

And Ramada f***ed the Isleys out of royalty.

Change 10% and you are running free.

4. Either They Paid, Or They Have A Problem
For example, George Harrison got popped for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Sweet_Lord#Legal_controversy">swiping "My Sweet Lord" from the Chiffon's "He's So Fine". Just three notes swiped inadvertantly, and Harrison had to pay through the nose.

They probably changed the word so as not to offend some group of people (lord knows who or for what reason).
