A friend of mine sent me the following link. Since I don't know if there is any fact behind it I knew my DU family would know. I'm all ears!

2. Wow!
Thanks for the link! With Boeing's involvement I would think it might stand a chance.

Who knew my aquariums might be the wave of the future. Maybe I can hold out and become the next Beverly Hillbillies!!

4. This is actually an incredible idea!
You may want to change the title for those who are interested in green energy...

I think that this guy could be on to something. Think revolutionizing our way of fueling our world...let's go! I would like to see Obama speaking of these kinds of specifics when telling folks about the possibilities in green energy jobs. "be an algae farmer!"
I hope Al Gore & others know of things like this and are willing to throw some moeny at it too...

kick and rec by the way

8. Wow!
That would be so cool and would beat the hell out of that off shore drilling nonsense too. What are the chances that the congress will make sure this DOESN'T get a serious chance?

Regards

11. Maui's stepping up...
http://starbulletin.com/2008/07/16/news/story02.html

it's good to see Maui Electric finally committing to green strategies... startup is projected for 2011, and what's very interesting is that while the startup costs are unspecified, they are projecting profitability within the first year of operation... now that's quite a statement...

this operation is right down the road so it'll be exciting to see how it developes...

12. The fact that Boeing is interested is heartening.
They obviously feel it would be a sound investment, and according to the video, the yield would be amazing! I hope this takes off! Recommend!

15. gonna take one hell of a lot of algae to make a dent in the energy problem, imo . . .
so instead of windmills and solar panels blanketing the countryside, we have algae plants? . . .

the science is intriguing, but I'd have to be convinced about the practicality . . .

16. Company claims that 10% of the area of New Mexico
would be enough to supply all our transportation needs.

I would think that the operative phrase would be 'in addition to', not 'instead of'.

They ought to make a system sized for a Farm cooperative to supply the farmers in the area.
