7. I used to love MAD as a kid. Appealed to my adolescent sense of humor.
The fact that I found this bit to be pretty funny shows I've still got it.

5. Boy, they love publicity, don't they?
If they had done nothing, nobody would have noticed.

Now watch Mad magazine sales go UP.

9. I got my DLP set at Circuit City
To be honest, I have no complaints; it was the best-looking set in the store, including the plasma and LCD sets; brighter, clearer, and higher contrast. This 50" 1080p set rawks.

It's the best TV I've ever seen, period. I have had no complaints about the product.

Now, I did get suckered into buying a lot of stuff I didn't really need- the clerk, for example, outright lied about the products I needed to use to clean the screen. Windex is good enough for that. That said, I am glad he talked me into buying the super-duper power strip; everything plugged into it is insured for the lifetime of the strip up to- get this- $250,000.

I don't even use the TV as a TV most of the time- I use it as the display device for my PC. And yes, playing games like Bioshock or Unreal Tournament 3- or, hell, PAC-MAN- on a 50" screen is.... just.... awesome.

:D

10. Thanks for the info - I haven't set foot in a CC since they screwed me on a warranty in ~1990
One of their service techs looked me straight in the face and told me that a Sony dual cassette deck I had bought there was working perfectly. It wasn't. It sounded so bad I couldn't use it.
