not politically 'expedient'.

the sad fact is that the Merkan people are too stupid to see through the lies and muck that would be flung at the Democrats if they did the right thing. and the Demos are perhaps too cowardly (not all of them).

After all, they'll have the executive power until January 2009. Plenty of time to ensure that "the bloody, criminal neo cons" will not and can not be arrested and/or charged. If B*shit pardons them, one and all, they will forever be beyond the reach of any law. If they feel threatened enough, a coup d'etat could be in the cards. I'm all for arresting and punishing them, but signaling such intentions five months in advance is not the way to go about it. My preferred way of dealing with them, by the way, is not something that can be enshrined in the Democratic Party's platform or even posted on DU. :evilgrin:

and they know we are after them.

I'm sure they have made plans like pardons. but cannot pardons be set aside, legally?

and I'm sure death threats have been made. but sunshine can weaken or stop death threats.
