I died and went to Democrat hell
I went to the hospital yesterday and bounced around
between waiting rooms. ALL of them had the Fox "news" channel on.

My brain is now mush!

I must have died around 2000 or so and was sent to hell. The ultimate
hell would be not knowing you are dead, and living in the
world we live in now.

- Good is bad, bad is good
- War = peace, peace will kill us all.
- Just because you see poverty doesn't mean it exists.
- The best way to protect the constitution is to destroy all that it stands for.
- People who earn $250,000 a year and up are middle class.
- If you repeat a lie often enough it becomes the truth.
- The flag is more important than the things it represents.
- Wanting the troops to come home alive is not supporting them.
- If you are in the government you can break the law anytime you want *
* as long as you yell "not it!" or "immunity!"
- A humble man can be called an elitist ( and have it stick )
- FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! WE LIVE IN ROBO-COP WORLD!

Am I the only one who feels this way? Am I losing my grip on reality!

2. A belated welcome to DU, hoosier_lefty. You can tell by my name I feel the same
way. Four years ago I was a lurker, and joined after the election because I needed to vent my outrage and grief at this upside-down world. You've come to the right place, and hopefully we will have a new president in a few months and things will get better. Not sure how we fix the corporate media, but it is sure broken.
:hi:

3. Last time I was in the States (I live overseas) I felt it too. Couldn't go anywhere w/o hearing Fox.
It's brainwashing, pure and simple.

Course, I couldn't follow Heroes, either--too many commercials. There was always a moment when I wondered if they had started a flashback (we were a season behind here at the time).

I wish we could go back to the 50s in terms of quality news programming, fewer commercials, shorter in length, no gimmicks.

4. No, you are not.
The only remedy is a day off from everything political. Watch movies, take a walk, listen to music, have a drink or meal with friends. Do whatever serves to restore your sense of tranquility. Remember that Fox news does not represent the views of most people. Cheers!

6. You were in an alternate universe.
It's the physics answer. You could also choose Alice in Wonderland which is a more amusing way to put it.
And always look for the ruby slippers by your bed. You never know if they'll be there, but they do work.

10. I love Jason's Deli for their food, but most of the time they have
Fixed News on their tv in the background. And the one time it wasn't on, some customer went over to it and switched it to Fux News. I was on my way out any way, or I would have said something.

11. Welcome, hoosier_lefty. Take heart ... you have plenty of company.
The "Assault on Reason" (as Al Gore has called it) is hitting us on all flanks ... including some "friendly fire."

One must wonder whether there's something valid about concerns with chloride in the drinking water ... how else to explain the seemingly pervasive loss of sanity?
