Why would a lesbian donate money to Bill Frist?

Just nosing around the FEC database, a woman who I happen to know is a lesbian donated to Bill Frist when he was running for Senate. I don't understand the oddities of peoples' politics sometimes.

By the way, it's not Mary Cheney.

6. Most people's politics doesn't end at their sexuality.
It's entirely possible that someone might believe strongly enough in e.g. tax cuts or the occupation of Iraq or the banning of abortion that they would care more about it than their own right to marry.

Sometimes that's the best way to spy on someone. And being on the mailing list, sometimes politicians will send things out to donors (who they presume are loyal) that they wouldn't otherwise send out to the general public.

Or, maybe she has a videotape she'd like the good doctor to diagnose.
