Regnery Press. Google it.
Google David Brock at the same time. Brock's "Blinded By The Right" tells the whole story of this scam, which is still running very well, thankyewverymuch.

Start: Compendiums of fabrications and lies.

Add: Bulk purchases by wealthy right wing think tanks like Heritage Foundation.

Yield: Instant Best Seller.

No one reads this crap. They get the bestseller status and then use that to get their face on teevee where they can shoot of their pie holes.

All it takes is money and The Three Monkey Media.

1. They would be out of business had Kerry sued them in 2004
when Corsi's first smear book came out. No, he didn't have to win. He had more money than they did and could have sued them into bankruptcy without winning.

My own feeling is that he would have won. The paperwork and the record of malicious statements were all on his side.

You can't deal with bullies by ignoring them and hoping they get bored and move on to someone else. That never happens. You have to stand up to them and be prepared to hurt them badly even if you, yourself gets hurt in the process. Kerry didn't understand that. Those of us who went through public middle schools do.

5. Sajak can kiss my stinky ass
He's a fucking tool.

Always has been.

Always will be.

The Nice Guy shit is all a ruse.

His successor to stealth right wing asshole posing as a nice guy is that younger right wing tool, Drew Carey.

10. We've known this for some time ...
When a new Ann Coulter book is released, we know it will show up in our local dollar stores here in Toronto within a week or two.

The right-wing groups buy them by the thousands, sell them to jobbers, who then sell them to bargain outlets for a pennies.

Someone once asked Coulter on a talk show why her books always had the 'bulk sales' icon next to them on the bestseller lists. She went absolutely ballistic! Screamed that the lefty print media always puts a 'bulk sales' icon next to ANY book written by a Republican.

11. Reading the titles in the Regnery catalog makes you want to hurl.
The insidious aspect of all this is that right wingers can shut themselves completely away from the very real world of diversity, differing ideas and meaningful discourse.

With Rush, et al on their radios, Faux on their TVs, and this surfeit of "published" bilge, RWers really can live the pod-person existence -- otherwise known as being completely out of touch.

12. Henry Regnery and the Freedom Studies Center
You will find almost no mention of it on the internet. Regenry who was on the Board of Directors along with various senators, businessmen and other cold war hawks was trying to create "fourth service academy" called the Freedom Academy, they wanted it to be a federally mandated institute on a caliber with the Naval Academy and West Point. They set it up in an estate owned by Clare Booth Luce called Longlea in rural Virginia outside D.C. Luce thought the Black Panthers were receiving training in Cuba, it was the early 1970s and sense the Vietnam war was on the wane they wanted to try to create a new enemy in the guise of left wing domestic radicals.
