10. Yes please don't denigrate Chinese cuisine

The best food in China would be very strange to us. It's how poor people made good food out of that which the rich discarded. That squid penis might have been all a family had to eat. Add that to fresh vegetables and incredible sauces and you've got a meal!

But seriously, they make alligator balls out of alligator meat, which is rolled into little balls of meat, covered with a batter, and cooked. They taste terrible, but you get to say "I ate alligator balls."
