Feds' Terror Watch List Can Ruin Credit Report

(CBS 5) A little known federal terrorist watch list can prevent Americans from getting home loans and stain their credit reports, a CBS 5 investigation reveals.

The U.S. Treasury Department's "List of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons" is similar to the federal government's "No-Fly List," which adds additional screening for people attempting to board a plane. But the Treasury Department's list contains the names of several thousand people who the government says may not conduct financial transactions with American businesses.

And people in Northern California and around the country are discovering that the Treasury Department's list may have kept them from buying a car or a home because their names were linked somehow to terrorism.

This from an old article. However, now that the terror watch list is so big, nobody in the friggin country will be

able to buy a house or car again. No wonder the economy is in the toilet. And why do the credit agencies have any

business knowing that I might be a frickin terrorist! :banghead:

How is that these 3 companies have complete impact on every Americans lives by producing a score. A score which cannot be validated because the formula is a propriatary secret.

So you have the big 3 Credit bureaus who are traded on the stock market determining the purchasing fate of Americans. Then any Tom, Dick, Harry and apparantly the Federal Government is allowed to send shit to these companies and ruin credit histories without even being vetted for facts or truth.


The government is using the Credit bureaus as another tool to destroy the middle class and anyone who dares to speak out.

Anything that is big ticket item.
