Why are political campaigns not using PayPal on their contrib. sites?
I know some people hate it, but others find it safe and convenient--it could even enable people to make a quick, emotional contribution with a couple of clicks.

1. It would indeed be handy for those who had a PayPal account but no credit card.
John Edwards had a PayPal button for contributions on his website while he was running in the primaries. I thought it was a great idea.

6. I agree
This can be a big problem with Paypal. If an account gets frozen it takes a long time to unfreeze it. Also they will cancel your account if you get a lot of disputes.

5. Thanks--all interesting information. I wonder if people would be
willing to cover the fee in order to have the convenience and/or if more contributions would be generated so the fee would not be an issue in overall money-raising.

7. I've heard a lot of negatives about them.
Heard of people who couldn't get their money from them.

Heard of problems that appear to be politically based.

Bottom line: some people do not trust them.
