Fascist Infotainment is what we are left with.

2. The local affiliate in Milwaukee canceled the national news for Favre.
Seriously. They pre-empted Katie Couric so that they could carry a live news presser with him so he could go on and on about his new job. Doesn't get much stupider than that. Not that we probably missed much from the CBS evening news.

7. I wouldn't be surprised. NBC paid a lot to broadcast the Repression Games.
But, that's OK. Let KO have a break for a couple of weeks. We'll get through it.

8. It was not canceled during the 2004 Olympics.
In fact, although MSNBC originally hired KO in 2003 to help out as an Olympics anchor, they ended up NOT using him for that purpose because they were still trying to get Countdown well established and felt they could not do so if he took time off the show to cover the Olympics.

So I see no reason to assume it will be off the air during these Games, either.
